What is Maharashtra Medical (MBBS/BDS) Counselling 2021-2022?

To get Medical(MBBS) or Dental(BDS) admissions for the year 2021-2022 in Maharashtra Medical College we need to apply for Maharashtra Medical Counselling. The authority of Maharashtra Medical Counselling is DMER. In order to get admission through state quota every candidate must apply for this counselling by the steps explained below.     • (10+2) or High School Senior Secondary exam by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or Equivalent.
    • He/She should have secured a minimum of 50% Aggregate marks in PCB/Biotechcombined.
    • Must Qualify in NEET UG Exam on the same year of Admission.
    • Must be an NRI candidate for NRI quota and be an resident of India for private medical college state counselling.

Step By Step Procedure of Maharashtra MBBS/BDS Counselling:

In order to make you understand about the procedure of counselling, I’ve divided the process into five simple steps:

Step 1: Registration for MBBS and BDS Counselling:

Upon purchasing the pin you need to register in the official website of DMER and submit the personal details and download the registration form and also you can upload it in your Google Drive as a backup. 

Step 2: Declaration of Merit List:

After the examination process the medical counsel DMER will prepare and declare merit list of all eligible candidates. Candidate needs to verify merit number and category as mentioned in registration details.

Step 3: Choice Filling and College Locking:

After the declaration of the merit list by the medical counsel. DMER will declare the list of the colleges. Candidate needs to select the colleges in the list and they need to lock the colleges in the list.

Step 4: Results of Maharashtra Medical Counselling:

Upon filling and locking the colleges, candidate can check his counselling results on mentioned date in official website. You can simply login using your credentials and check the counselling results whether the seat is allotted or not. if the candidate is not satisfied for the allotment of the college he can process to the second round with recounseling.

The candidates who are saticified with the allotment and also intrested to proceed for the second round they need to report to the allotted college and also they have to pay the fee  of the college. 

Step 5: College Reporting and Document Submission:

Once the candidate got allotted in counselling they need to submit their documents to the allotted college within time mentioned by DMER.

After paying the fee submit the original documents at college allotted:

  1. Original 10th and 12th Mark Sheet.
  2. Original TC.
  3. Allotment Letter of DMER.
  4. Tuition Fee Receipt paid after after allotment at Axis Bank
  5. Copy of NEET-UG mark sheet of current academic year.
  6. Other relevant documents.
