Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is a private medical college and hospital established in 1980. It is run under the Vokkaligara Sangha and is regarded as one of the premier institutes to pursue medical education. Dr. V.T Venkatesha is the Dean and Principal of the college.

The mission of the Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is to impart medical education to students to gain excellence in knowledge, skills, research, and attitude in providing holistic health care services to patients. The overall vision of the college is to lead in empowering medical professionals to be compassionate, efficient, experienced and learned in fostering global professionalism through advanced technology and research. Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital was established in 1990. It is a multi-specialty hospital with 810 beds and various diagnostic and medical services. The hospital also has a 24-hour Pharmacy, Blood Bank, and CT and MRI facilities.
